Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve

***This event is now fully booked! Thanks***

Join us for a walk to see the Great Blue Herons’ nesting colony. At the beginning of July the heron chicks will be almost full grown and we will be able to see them competing for food, stretching their wings and hopping around the branches.

In 2019 there were 70 active nests!  Come learn about these beautiful birds and their life at the Heron Reserve.

Meet at the Rotary Interpretive Centre for a 10 am start.

Please bring your own binoculars. This is a free community event, rain or shine. This will be the last Heron Walk of the season, don’t miss it!

With respect to covid-19 restrictions, we are limiting this group to 20 people and you must register for the event online. It will be outside and we ask that people follow social distancing protocols and please refrain from coming if you have any symptoms. Thank you for your cooperation.

Groups: This visitor event is not suitable for an organized group of more than 8 people.  For larger groups, please book a time and day with the office and we would be delighted to customize an outing for you. A donation will be asked for a group booking.
