Home School Program  – Winter 2020

     Monday from 9:30 – 12:30

Starting on Monday, January 27th, 2020, the Winter Homeschool Program will run for 6 weeks and cost $160 per student. No class on Family Day (February 17th). 

Ages 5 – 14 – Two age groups will be formed so there will be an older group and a younger group. Each group will have 1.25 hours of wildlife art (which often includes some outdoor exploration and opportunities for connecting with nature via sketching) and 1.25 hours of environmental education with a 15 minute snack break.

This is an intensely fun program for artists of all levels. Our engaging instructor will provide individual mentoring and support as students move forward at their own pace. All materials, including art canvases are provided, and multiple mediums will be explored. Each student will receive a sketchpad and drawing pencils to keep.

This hands on environmental education program introduces and connects students to the natural world. Participants will enjoy learning through environmental games, hands on science activities and outdoor explorations.  This is a science based nature experience.  Possible winter topics may include:  Animal Adaptations, Plants, Ecological Principals, Geology, Nocturnal Critters, Wildlife Observation, Herons, Beavers, Insects and Spiders, Pond Exploration, and Eco-Games.
