Herons return to nest on site at the end of February/early March.

The best place to view the colony is west along the North Dyke Trail, about a 10 minutes walk from the Rotary Interpretive Centre.

In 2016,  there were 125 active nests in the colony.

Our HeronCam should be up and running for the 2017 nesting season, allowing visitors to view the nests from inside the Rotary Interpretive Centre
